BATIQ is free native compositing for macOS, Windows and Linux, with a graph, timeline and image tools in one workspace.
BATIQ trailer
Read, grade, merge, paint, track and write without leaving the compositing workspace.
How the workspace works
Keep the graph, image, timeline and controls in view.
BATIQ keeps the image, graph, timeline and controls together so changes remain visible and editable.
01 / NodeGen
Describe an effect, review the result, then adjust and animate its exposed controls like any other node. NodeGen runs with local Ollama models, with a deterministic Offline fallback.
02 / Multichannel EXR
OpenEXR stays native: flat multichannel layers, 32-bit float processing and ACEScg color. Use the channels and layers you need from read through write.
03 / Cryptomatte
Select objects and materials from Cryptomatte data, then use the resulting matte in the same compositing graph for targeted work.
04 / Variants
Switch grouped options in the graph, save useful combinations and render the resulting permutations. Variants also work with Write nodes for repeatable outputs.
05 / Functions
Turn connected nodes into a Function and create instances across your graph. Edit the original nodes and every instance updates, with its own source and mask inputs.
06 / Remote Links
Route one local source to receivers across the graph. Change the source once and every receiver updates.
07 / Magnetic graph layout
Connected nodes snap into alignment in horizontal or vertical layouts while wires keep their direction clear.
More built-in tools
Fast processing and interactive feedback on modern hardware.
Shape, refine and repair directly in the image.
Carry motion into transforms, masks and finishing work.
Clips, keys and curves live beside the graph.
Automate the same tools from scripts and headless renders.

In your pipeline
A separate add-on connects BATIQ to Ynput's AYON pipeline. Launch BATIQ from a task with its frame range, fps and resolution applied, load published images, save versioned workfiles, and publish Write renders with thumbnails and review media, with colour spaces mapped to the project's OCIO config.
